There are two accounts for everyone. They are described below. There are two main ways to log in to your account. Both are using the shorthand of the nethz-Kürzel which is an identifier for your account. These are:


Single-Sign On Solution, also referred to as Switch-AAI SSO.

Here only the ethz account is used for most logins.

Login procedure:

  • You will be forwarded to a SWITCH website. Select ETHZ and proceed. 
  • You will then be forwarded to an ETH login page. Enter your <nethz> and the respective password. (e.g. jkirsch)


Login solution for mail accounts. This is specific to each account.

This is also sometimes referred to as "LDAP" or the usage of the "LDAP-Password" is mentioned

You will always log in to your account using the SSO-Solution. There are two ways to reach the login page for your google Account:

  • Directly over drive.vseth.ch
  • Using the name of the account: <nethz>@gsuite.vseth.ch

Both direct you to the same account, so be sure to bookmark drive.vseth.ch! It's more convenient.

Slack

  • You should have received an invite on your @zumun.ch  email address. 
  • If you didn't, contact your SGs about. 

Password Change/Reset

  • Users can change their passwords on passwort.ethz.ch. 
  • Users can reset their password on passwort.ethz.ch, through clicking "Passwort vergessen?"/"Forgot your Password?". 
    • submit your nethz username
  • If all of the above doesn't work, please contact your OIV/your Secretary-General. 


For WhatsApp Copy+Paste:

Hey, your @zumun.ch account should be ready now. The login can be a bit complicated, so here's how:

*Your nethz-username is XXX-enter-nethz-XXX*

*VSETH Email*
Go to the regular ETH email page (mail.ethz.ch). 
Enter _vseth-<nethz>_ and the respective password. (e.g. vseth-jkirsch)

*Google Drive*
Go to the generic Google login page (drive.google.com) and enter _<nethz>@gsuite.vseth.ch_. (e.g. _jkirsch@gsuite.vseth.ch_)
You will be forwarded to a SWITCH website. Select ETHZ and proceed. 
You will then be forwarded to an ETH login page. Enter _<nethz>_ and the respective password. (e.g. _pmueller_)
You are now logged into your Google account. Go to drive.google.com.

*Slack*
You should have an email in your inbox with an invite to join Slack. If you don't, just contact the SGs about it.

If something isn't working, just text one of the SGs.
