This is the master page for information regarding CBB-relevant event organization in VIS.
Budget
The CCBB budget is split into categories, which may include multiple events (Fun event, Semester Refreshments, Exam Preparation) or a single event (CCBB:BBQ, Christmas event, Alumni event, Career event). This applies for the financial year (01.01.-31.12), therefore not on a per-semester or academic year basis. Make sure your event budget(s) (expenses AND INCOME where applicable) fits within a +/- 10% margin of the allocated budget for the category. Excessive spending or income must be clarified with the treasurer before or (pls not) during the VIS general assembly.
Event income can be in cash (via the front desk of oVIS, staffed by the VIS board), or via TWINT / card (through the payment system linked to the Eventmanager. Income from student contributions must be EXCLUSIVELY sourced from Eventmanager participant entries. Income from sponsors generally happens via invoice to sponsor, which should be organized through the treasurer of VIS.
Reimbursement Procedure
Purchase invoice / receipt ==> approval by Kommpräsi ==> reimbursement by the VIS treasurer
Budget Proposals
The spring semester GA is usually reserved for revising the budget for the upcoming year. In principle, any VIS member has the right to propose a change in any VIS budget category, however, it is generally done by or coordinated with the responsible committee's president.
A budget proposal may span one or more categories (individually called budget points). Types of budget proposals one can make include:
- Increasing or decreasing income and expenses for an existing category / categories
- Removing one or more budget points
- Adding one or more budget points
- Shifting budget from / to one or more budget points
- Renaming and/or restructuring one or more budget points - the most complicated one including changes in income/expenses as well as the intended purpose of the budget point.

If you are unsure about how to structure or justify your budget proposal, talk to your Götti, the VIS treasurer or the VIS president.
